Parenting and worrying come hand in hand I think. The minute
your little one enters the world they are fully dependent on you. It’s a big
job to fill and there is so much to think about.
I am a mom to Ava (5), Lily (4) and Levi (2 months). I remember when I first became a mom to Ava I
was always worried about everything. We co-slept for a while, but once we
transferred her to the crib I was constantly worried about being away from her
at night in case something went wrong. Video monitors were new when she was
born and I remember I would stalk the screen so I could see her chest rise and
fall or hear her breathing. I was the same way when Lily was born.
Fast forward to Levi and I have to tell you there is no more
stalking of the video monitor. I was introduced to the Owlet Smart Sock. This
device is designed to alert you if your baby stops breathing. It uses the same
technology hospitals use to monitor oxygen levels and heart rates.
The sock fits securely on Levi and comes in a few different
sizes to provide the perfect fit. It doesn’t seem to bother him at night at
all.
I was unsure at first about getting the sock set up
correctly but I watched very helpful videos and read the simple instructions
and it made the process super easy.
I love the fact there is an app on your phone that can show Levi’s vitals as well as on the base station.
It’s so reassuring to know this simple sock can put parents’
minds at ease. Everyone can sleep soundly. I am an overly anxious person in
general and so I’m so thankful for this device. If you are like me and want
that extra peace of mind the Owlet monitor is for you. I promise you won’t
regret it!
